Student Life

During the 4-year program, you will become a pro in languages such as C#, PHP, and JavaScript. Imagine developing web-based applications and media while keeping in mind the desires of your clients. Yes, you will be the one testing the apps you create!

But it's not just about coding; you will work in teams, learning how to set up projects and ensuring the smooth running of the apps and software you develop. In the first year, you will grasp the basics of programming and markup languages. As you progress to the second year, you will work with frameworks used by companies globally, including Laravel, Vue, React, Xamarin, and Bootstrap.

And guess what? You will also have the opportunity to specialize further through various keuzedelen (elective modules) such as digital skills for advanced users, introduction to GEO-ICT, graphic design for web development, and many others.

So, if you are someone who values online safety and enjoys working both individually and in a team, this is the place for you. After graduating, a vibrant career awaits you in ICT companies, development bureaus, and software consultancy firms. You can even pursue higher studies in informatics or web design.

Schedule

While every class has a different schedule, yours might look a bit like the one below. you'll learn things like Python and C# during NATIVE, and HTML and PHP during WEB. At PRA you'll put what you learnt to the test, by working on a big project by yourself or with others. During PRO you'll be learnt important techniques, cconventions and tools, Take Git for example!

Sadly we still have to learn things like Dutch, English and Math, but the time spent there is great for working on a project you haven't finished yet. (Please don't tell the teachers I said that)

Blocks

During this course you'll be working in blocks. Each block you'll have to earn studypoints to progress to the next block. If you don't have enough you'll have to do the block over. Studypoints can be earned by actively participating in class or making your homework. You can even earn a couple extra points by helping out during an open day!

If you do well enough, there's a chance you'll be put in the accelerated track, where you'll be able to finish the course in only 3 years instead of 4. Please note that this is only possible in block A, after that your chance is gone. Even if you make it in, you can't relax just yet. If you fail a block in the accelerated track you won't have to do the block over. Instead, you'll go to the next block in the regular track, and you can't go back.
